Beginner Mountain Bike Rides (to find your own badassery)
Experience big mountain views without the worry. We will support and guide you every step. Bring a willingness to explore and have fun and we will do the rest. You do not need mountain experience to enjoy the ride but you should be able to pedal 15mi comfortably.
Riding a mountain bike does not have to be scary or intimidating..
especially if you head out on a ride with a like minded group of badass women. Badass because we took a step outside of our comfort zone and supported each other along the way.
Here’s what a few women have had to say.
"It was a perfect balance between getting us all out of our comfort zones but not feeling too out of our depths and knowing we can get off at any point”
"I absolutely wanted to prove to myself that I could successfully ride a few trails and conquer my fear with the right support and guidance behind me - You absolutely gave me that! And kept motivating me from riding up the first fire track right until we got back”
"P.s your flapjacks and jelly worms were the perfect boost needed to carry on!"

Meet your host

Black Mountains- We will meet at the Forestry Carpark near Cymyoy at 10am to ride by 10:30. Here will do a thorough bike check and answer questions about the ride. 30 -Sept
Brecon Beacons – We meet near Talybont Reservoir at 10am to ride by 10:30. 12- November
These rides are a fantastic mixture of fire roads to warm you up, small challenging sections to try a few skills on, and some lovely single track and bridleways to bring it all together. You will never be expected to or made to ride anything you don’t like. Guaranteed.
We insure we stop often to catch our breath or have a snack. There is a chance to snap pictures at the amazing beauty the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons have on show. We have a picnic lunch and always a sweet treat or two brought along by me, your guide, just to keep you going.
The ride can be anywhere from 12-16miles but it won’t feel that long, I promise.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water as there is no where to stop for snacks once we start riding.
There will definitely be flapjacks… and maybe cake if time allows for my baking hat to get on before the ride.
